Crown (vt):
to place on the head, as to place a crown on a tooth, dental implant or tooth substituteusage: implies fabrication of a restoration for a tooth on a natural tooth or dental implant.
Fixed Partial Denture (Bridges):
a partial denture that is cemented or otherwise securely retained to natural teeth, tooth roots, and/or dental implant abutments that furnish the primary support for the prosthesisusage: with respect to a fixed partial denture retained on dental implants, adjectives may be used to describe the means of attachment, such as screw retained f.p.d., cement retained f.p.d.called also fixed prosthesis.
Veneers:
a replacement of facing surface of the tooth, enamel structure. Veneers usually are indicated to enhance appearance of the tooth (teeth) including shape and color, occlusion (bite) or often time indicated for young tooth (teeth) for minimal tooth reduction.
Restoration of endodontically treated tooth (Tooth restoration after root canal treatment):
Most often times, the structure of the tooth is lost after root canal treatment. A foundation is usually indicated prior to crown fabrication. The foundation can be made of cast post core, or the crown build up.
